Early 20th Cent. Catholic Rosary Multi Gemstones & Sterling Silver with Heavy Crucifix - Rare Collector's item

All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection.
They are genuine antiques – older than 100 years – or genuine vintages – from 30 to 100 years old.
All are in perfect condition and still very much usable.
They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

The item in this listing has the following characteristics:

This is a Rosary of French origin which may be estimated to be from the 1910’s.

I). 7.5 mm average dia. round multi gem beads for the Ave Marias and 8.5 mm for the Pater Nosters also round multi gem beads. Separated from the Aves by a sterling silver chain and two sterling 4.5 mm round beads.

II). The beads although multi gem are placed regularly so that opposing beads are always of the same gem and same size. This may be very well seen on the photos. Gems used are : Amethyst, jade, Carnelian, Coral, Striped agate of various colors,Garnet and citrine , but always in opposed pairs.

III). The cross as well as the center are Sterling Silver. The cross is a heavy 65 x 45 mm item with a typical art nouveau style as may be well seen from the photos.

IV). Total length : 62 cm (19.2 in.) -- Total weight : 52 grams.

This item will easily go over any size head to be worn.

This is a big item, it is rarely seen and is over a 100 years old and still in excellent condition.

Heavy in Sterling with rarely seen symmetrical multi gem use all hand carved. A real Heirloom.
