DD 1893 Catholic Rosary in Coral & Silver w Sterling Mesh Purse and St Martin Medal

All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection.
They are genuine antiques – older than 100 years – or genuine vintages – from 30 to 100 years old.
All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

The item in this listing has the following characteristics:

1. 4.5 mm average, faceted top quality Mediterranean ancient red Coral hand made beads for the Ave Marias. All beads separated by a sterling silver chain.

2. 6.5 mm same type coral beads for the Pater nosters

3. Very beautiful and rare Sterling reliquary cross Cross 29 X 17 mm.

5. The rosary is sold with an Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Mesh pouch. The pouch is stamped with the French Silver hallmark of the boar -( on the sides of the purse).
The design on the pouch is clearly Art Nouveau. It has a sterling medal with a representation of St Martin on a horse, splitting his mantle with his sword to share it with a poor man standing near to the horse. Extremely rare item. It is also dated 1st June 1893 whoch makes it over 130 years old!!!

6. Total length of the rosary is : 31 cm - 20.5 in . It will not go over the head to be worn -- its weight is 13g. grams

7. The Sterling mesh purse/pouch weighs 23 grams !! . It is is pristine condition .


This is an exquisite and valuable item ideal for keeping a rosary constantly by your side . Very rare to find in such a neat condition and over 130 years of age !!!
